Probably one of  the most rewarding things about providing this kind of service is when we deliver and assemble our units the carers and especially the parent's relief of having a piece of equipment to allow them some rest bite after having nights were real sleep was not possible with worries about whether junior was safe in bed or not.

I like to hear the first comments on seeing the unit in there home such as.
 
  Well! she will safe enough in there.
  He cant hurt himself in there.
  Its going to save my back.
  They will never break that.

                   The cot is wonderful and Elizabeth loves it. I feel like a new woman with all the sleep I'm getting .Although we still have to get up to her  we don't have the same worries  Its all been well worth  it .

I always keep our letters and cards ,but we also get the out of the blue phone calls ,to tell of there progress after receiving one of our beds.

One memorable case. A lady up north, had us make a very large and totally padded cot, as her 20 year old son suffered with sudden drop fits. And after padding many corners on the bedroom furniture etc he still managed to have a accident during the night. one needing many stitches..
Phoned  a few days after we had delivered her cot to say, that now he is used to being in the cot, and knowing he can't get out, he just settles down and  sleeps through the night.
Some two months later phoned again really so happy,  apparently her younger son 14yrs  who hasn't any problems, was so protective of his brother he to wasn't getting much restful sleep himself, but now he has realized that his brothers is safe at night has given him much more quality sleep  and that's changed him very noticeably, (not so snappy, school work improved, )
